Sunday Services

9:00 am   Sunday School classes for all ages

10:00 am  Coffee and snacks in the Fellowship Hall

10:30 am  Worship in the Sanctuary

On a typical Sunday, about 150 people join in worship.   Our music style is mostly contemporary, with some traditional.  Song lyrics are projected onto a large screen, so you can sing along if you choose to.  In addition to music, we join in prayer, listen to a 20-30 minute message, and are sometimes invited join in ‘open worship’ - an opportunity enjoy quiet meditation for a few minutes.  An offering is taken during the service, but visitors are not expected to give.

Care is provided  for  nursery and preschool-aged children during the service.  Grade school ages are dismissed to Children’s Church during the service.

Building for the Future

We began the process of “building for the future” with a church wide survey several weeks ago, followed that with a leadership meeting, and then a congregational business meeting. Last Sunday, several members of our church family gathered after the Worship Service for a time of prayer and fasting, as they lifted the process we are in to the Lord. Now we are ready for the next step, our Family Gatherings.

Our first Family Gathering is Wednesday, July 2 from 7-9 pm. The intent of this gathering is for each of us to share how and why we came to SCFC. We need to hear each others’ stories. We need to grow in confidence, competence and closeness to one another. We also need to ask God to stretch our vision for the future.

If you choose to participate, we will be grateful. I believe that God is leading us in this process of clarifying our calling and preparing our next generation of leaders. Come see and participate in what God is doing at SCFC.

See you July 2 and bring “your story.”
