Community Friends Church
Text Box: Celebrating over 120 years of ministry in Sherwood, Oregon

Make plans now to be a part of this great celebration and bring a friend or family along with you. Brunch will be served from 9:45 to 10:20 am, following Sunday School at 9 am.

We invite you to assist in providing the food. Served along with the main dishes, we are asking those whose last name begins with A-M to please bring breakfast breads or muffins, and N-Z to please bring fresh fruit.

Featuring the African Gospel Acappella

Area Gathering

Join in a celebration of the wider family! Folks from all the Friends churches in the Newberg area will gather for fellowship, worship, and challenge on Saturday, November 22, at the Friends Center (corner of College and 2nd).  This Area Gathering will be like a mini-yearly meeting session, with workshops hosted by three different NWYM boards, as described below. This will allow us to build a sense of community with other Northwest Yearly Meeting Friends who are nearby, as well as deepen our ability to be the Body of Christ. We will also share a meal and have a time of worship together. It would be great to take a group from our church. Do you want to carpool? Call the church office to find others who might like to do either of these things as well.

We are so thankful for the church family’s incredible generosity that allowed us to experience China first hand! You gave us an opportunity we never dreamed possible, and to this day we are amazed by all you enabled us to see and do.

We would like to share our experiences with you and invite you to join us on Friday, November 14, at 6 pm in the Fellowship Hall for a simple dinner and the rest of the story behind these pictures. In order to assist in the planning of the meal, it would be greatly appreciated if you RSVP to the Church Office, 503 625 7879, by November 9.
